As promised in my previous piece, Yuki Nagato from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
This sketch originally comes from the Noizi Ito Haruhi-Ism artworks book, as soon as I saw it I knew I must draw it!
Yuki is adorable!
Something no one knows about me IRL, is that I love Lolita fashion (don't laugh!) I find the flowing fabrics to be elegant and really pretty in drawings, I'd really like to try out realistic portraits of people dressed up as such, but I don't know anyone who would care to for me ;__;
This was a thorough pain to have to do, but I loved it.
I only really got the idea to outline it with ink after I started shading, when I realized I wanted contrast between the lines.
The colours came out of nowhere at the end, I thought that the whole thing being in black and white would be pretty with a bright pink colour coming out of it, but I was worried the whole time that I would accidentally ruin it right at the end!
Let me know what you think, or whether you want to see more like this soon!
